It was a fun reading week for me and I got to the new Ilona Andrews book finally. And I think it took me less than 24 hours to finish. I still love Kate and Curran but this time it was even more dangerous. I shed a few tears and connot believe ever saying goodbye to them. Can’t wait for the next book on this series.

Review: The Bull Rider’s Son by Cathy McDavid

This story for me was about honesty. We have Cassidy in a good place with her family and raising her son, but when her father hires Shane things get a little complicated.

The thing is Shane is her kids uncle and Cassidy never told about the baby to anyone besides her family. So now she’s in a bit of a big mess, because Shane is asking lots of questions and getting more than a little friendly with her.

I liked the way everything happened a little fast and we got to see and understand the reasons for all the lies and secrets, but I really liked this couple and that made it all worth it.

Finally we have Rune’s story and I wasn’t too happy about Carling being his mate, but the couple story made sense and I liked the way these twon became history.

Carling was a bitch and I never really liked the way she sounded and acted with other people around, because her vampyres were like something better. She’s old and is real sick, but the way everyone treated her like leprosy made me like her a little bit.

Rune was perfect and very much what I expected from him. He was her guardian, her friend and even helped find a cure to her desease. It was hard watching him fighting to figure it all out after he realised she was his mate. But of course everything ended in a good way and I really liked the new Carling.

Review: Storm’s Heart by Thea Harrison

This book was not what espected because I wanted Rune or Grayson, but I understand why the author decided for this particular couple, after Dragos made a big destruction on the Dark Fae. So Tricks is actually royal and needs to return home and claim the title of Queen of the Dark Fae, but things are not that simple and Tiago became her bodyguard. He was part of the Wyr high guards, but this trip made things claer for this couple about their true feelings.

I liked the trip and the dangerous moments, but couldn’t really feel the same love for them as I did for Pia and Dragos. This was a great paranormal romance with lots of drama, but not the best in this series.

I’ve had this series for so long on my TBR but for some reasonnever got to try it until now. It was such a nice surprise. Dragos was perfect and made things even more dangerous, but I loved the alpha dragon with his clueless gang. It was nice getting know the different creatures of this world and Pia was so cute trying to hide from the powerfull dragon.

Their love story was cute and very strange because they had no idea about the mating fever and were dragged from New York because someone wanted revenge on Dragos and his power.

This was a great new series. And I’m currently reading the rest and it gets even better.

Stacking the Shelves #3

I was busy reading from my TBR and this pile is actually big, but some of those were released in the previous weeks and I only bought them now. But I’ve read the Eve Langlais and really liked, so glad she decided to continue with the series, love a good laugh with paranormal romance.

NetGalley made me super happy with the new Harlequin titles. I can’t wait to start reading the last book on the Original Sinners series and say goodbye to Nora and Soren. Plus Whiskey Creek has a new book for the holidays and I’m preparing myself for the crying, love this series, but always makes me cry.
